I have been so inspired by all the wonderful charity work that my clients are involved with, either with their groups or on their own, that I’ve decided to create Rose Villa Cares. Throughout the year, Rose Villa Cares will sponsor different charity projects to benefit Michigan communities. These projects will include a variety of craft styles, such as crocheting, knitting, quilting, and basic sewing.
Rose Villa Retreat is pleased to announce our Rose Villa Cares Project for 2017. During our third campaign we would like to collect hats, mittens, and gloves for children ranging from toddlers to high school seniors. These hats, mittens and gloves can be handmade or store bought. If you would like to knit or crochet hats or mittens, you can find several patterns on our Rose Villa Cares Project Pinterest board. Rose Villa will give the hats, mittens and gloves to the Laingsburg United Methodist Church who will then pass them along to Laingsburg community school children. Donations are due to Rose Villa Retreat by Friday, October 13, 2017. If you are attending a retreat between now and October 13th and would like to donate, please leave your donations on the shelf in the dining room.
Rose Villa Cares’ 2016 charity campaign came to a successful conclusion. We were able to donate 25 pairs of mittens and gloves, and 2 scarves to Laingsburg Community Schools . I would like to personally thank everyone who donated their time and skills to make items, donated money, and/or purchased items to be donated.
